I don’t think the ITIL will be updated in the foreseeable future as there isn’t any editorial work currently carrying out and no drafts have ever been released. So, one could argue that the real “ITSM scope” comparison between ITIL 4 and ITIL v3 could be made to just the 17 service management practices – which is closer to the level of ITIL v2 than v3. However, a quick scan through the general management practices highlights many more of the ITIL v3 processes (but now practices of course).
